Here is the fact:
On August 13th, 2024 the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has mandated that all relevant systems must be upgraded to be Quantum Safe by 2030. The complex mathematics underlying these security upgrades are detailed in NIST’s FIPS 203, FIPS 204, and FIPS 205 publications in 2024.
These security upgrades are the largest and most significant federal cryptographic security updates since 2002. CEOs must act now to prepare for the transition to Post-quantum Cryptography (PQC), and ultimately gauge the unique financial risk profile of the mandate.
